Sharing Economy & New Mobility team named 2020 Underwriting Team of the Year

We are excited to announce that Liberty Mutual’s Sharing Economy & New Mobility practice has been named Underwriting Team of the Year as part of the 2020 U.S. Insurance Awards.

The awards, hosted annually by Business Insurance, honor teams of professionals working on specific projects in the commercial insurance and risk-management sector.

With ride-hailing, vehicle-sharing, car subscriptions, and autonomous vehicles, transportation options have never been so plentiful – or presented so many emerging risks. The peer-to-peer or B2B2C nature of the industry creates unique coverage challenges and claim scenarios.

Drawing on our vast commercial and personal lines expertise, our newly launched Mobility Pod represents a new underwriting model that brings a full range of tailored solutions and nuanced pricing approaches to the “modern mobility” marketplace. This dedicated practice combines creative commercial underwriting with product development, actuarial, legal, and claims teams to deliver a robust insurance experience.

The new model continues to build trust among brokers and customers which, in turn, fosters greater confidence in “modern mobility” businesses, helping them grow and thrive.

New mobility continues to bring fundamental change to the traditional insurance landscape and businesses should be ready to re-calibrate their strategies. Learn more about the top risk management challenges driving new mobility solutions as personal and commercial insurance needs come together to build trust and bridge gaps.

Congratulations to the Mobility Pod for being recognized for their hard work.
